Most of the time, what you see here will only be a small excerpt of my work. To see older stuff, less significant pieces, etc, I recommend you check out my archives. You can also download my print portfolio. (pdf, 20mb) If you have any questions or inquries, let me know.

Oslo in the Summertime

A school project from November 2009, where I was to design and craft a CD cover for a song of choice. I went with the song Oslo in the Summertime by Of Montreal, and after scrapping my initial concept, I started working on a cover that would capture both the mood and the sound of the song.

Volkswagen Passat

My final exam in spring 2008 was to create an ad campaign for a family car of choice. I went with the Volkswagen passat. The ad's concept is showing two contrasting drawings, which reflect two different ideas of what cars need. The first drawing, which is done in a childish style, cites a well-known Norwegian children's song. "'Honk honk,' says daddy's car, it can drive for many miles. It has four rubber wheels and it is really cool." The bottom drawing is more detailed, and focuses on what adults look for in cars they purchase, with functional features highlighted.

Pimp My Billy

Midterm project, spring 2008: "Create an advertising campaign to increase sales for BILLY, the Ikea bookshelf. Your target audience is students and first-time movers. You have 48 hours." The concept basically is to encourage people to pimp their Billy bookshelves, post the results to the website where other people will vote, and potentially win awesome prizes. At the same time as strengthening the Billy brand and making it something hip. The text at the bottom reads "Join the search for the world's coolest BILLY bookshelf at PIMPMYBILLY.COM!"

Blind Item

Several times a week, various gossip bloggers release so-called "blind items". Usually vague tales of erratic behavior among Hollywood's elite, these are named as such because they never mention the celebrity's name, only hinting to who it may be. This may be because of lack of proof, or fear of getting sued - but no matter how truthful or realistic, it is always entertaining to guess who it may be. This is an illustration of such a blind item, with its focus being on keeping the visual style the same as the message, ie the ambiguity, the glamorized lifestyle, and the lack of believability behind the statement. December 2008.
